Goliath Hardwoods
Wenge
Wenge has become one of the most sought-after exotics in contemporary furniture design — its dark chocolate-brown to almost black color with fine pale streaking creates a dramatic, graphic look that photographs beautifully. The open grain and coarse texture give it a bold, architectural character. Challenging to work due to its tendency to splinter, but the results are stunning. Pre-drill for all fasteners. Oil or wax finishes suit it better than film finishes.
