Osage Orange

$11.90

Osage Orange — also called Hedge Apple or Bois d'Arc — is one of the hardest and most rot-resistant domestic-grown woods in North America, but its vivid golden-yellow to bright orange color and tropical-looking grain put it firmly in the exotic category. Freshly cut wood is a brilliant orange that slowly mellows to a rich golden-brown. Extremely dense and durable, it was the traditional choice for fence posts, bows, and tool handles. One of the most underrated statement woods available.
