Cherry

$6.92

American Cherry is prized for its rich color transformation — boards start out a pale pinkish-brown and deepen to a warm reddish-brown over time with exposure to light. It machines cleanly, sands to a glassy finish, and glues and finishes exceptionally well. Grain is typically straight with a fine, uniform texture. One of the most rewarding domestic hardwoods to work with. Often used in period reproduction and high-end furniture where a refined, elegant look is desired.
