Goliath Hardwoods
Brazilian Cherry (Jatoba)
Despite the name, Brazilian Cherry shares nothing with domestic Cherry except a similar reddish color — it's nearly three times harder and dramatically more durable. Freshly cut wood is a salmon-pink to orange-red that deepens to a rich reddish-brown over time. One of the hardest and heaviest exotics we carry, it's exceptional for high-traffic flooring and heavy-use furniture. Carbide tooling required. Pre-drill all fasteners. The durability payoff is worth the extra effort.
